Renewal Ministries

Many members of the church have been involved in United Methodist renewal ministries such as the Walk to Emmaus and Chrysalis (for youth). Contact Teresa Strickland (871-1406) for details.

Scouting Program

Scouting is another aspect of the youth ministry offered and supported by the church. Over 150 youth are registered in the Scout programs which include Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Brownie Girl Scouts, and a Venture Crew for ages 14-20.
 

Recreation

Adults and youth come together for fun fellowship playing volleyball, basketball, and softball against other community churches.

Youth Ministries

UMYF Meeting The youth meet every Sunday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. The Jr. High also meets every Wednesday at 7:00.

Jr. High – grades 7-8 Sr. High – grades 9 - 12

Salkehatchie Summer Work Camp

The youth participate one week during the summer at the Salkehatchie Summer Work Camps located at various sites throughout the state.
 

Children’s Programs

Our Children’s Division enjoys outings where we come together for adventure and fellowship. We support and serve others through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Bible School, and camp each summer. There is also an active Children’s Choir where adults assist the children in making a joyful noise to the Lord.

Children’s Church

We offer a special worship service on most Sunday’s during the 11:00 am service for children ages 4 through 4th grade. We believe that the children deserve sermons directed to their needs.

Vacation Bible School
 

VBS is held during one week in the summer. It is a week of study and growth for all ages…even adults! Please contact the church office for VBS dates and times.

KUMC K.I.D.S.

KUMC K.I.D.S. is a preschool/mother’s morning out program for children ages 6 mos. To 4 yrs. Old. The program runs Mon. -Thu. 9-1 pm. The children attend P.E., music, art, and Bible study weekly. The children are actively engaged in age-appropriate activities in a Christian environment.
